Make an Appointment
All of our doctors will help you deal with acute and long-term health problems and illnesses. This will always involve advice on how you can help yourself; sometimes it will involve treatment in the surgery or medication; and at other times referral to local hospitals may be necessary.
We offer an appointment system at the practice. Please try to give us as much notice as possible by either telephoning or visiting the surgery. Please make an appointment for each patient that wishes to see the doctor or nurse. Appointments are available for the Doctor of your choice where possible. However, if you wish to see a particular Doctor only, you will be offered their first available routine appointment, but may have to wait longer than usual.
Urgent Appointments – Emergency appointments for problems which you think cannot wait until the next available routine appointment, will be given a time to attend, usually at the end of surgery. You may not be able to see the doctor of your choice, and may also have to wait longer than usual.
Cancelling Appointments – If you are unable to attend your appointment, please cancel as soon as possible so the appointment can be allocated to another patient if needed

You can pre-book an appointment 2 - 3 weeks in advance subject to availability.
We make every effort to keep appointment times but there may be occasions when they overrun.
How to register for EMIS online appointment booking and prescription ordering
Please visit the surgery with photo ID during surgery hours
Please note: you will only have basic access to appointments until you attend with photo ID to confirm your identity.
Ways to save doctors' appointments
We try to reserve doctors' appointments for patients who really need a doctor's expertise in order to be treated. Please avoid making an appointment with the doctor if you can do any of the following:
- Make an appointment with one of our nurses or other health professionals: information below
- Phone your dentist if you have dental problems: your NHS dentist is contracted to treat you for emergency and routine dental care.
- Consult the NHS 111 Advice Line or website: If you are looking for urgent advice, please phone NHS 111. Otherwise you can often find advice on the NHS website or app.
